"Double Trouble" Contest!

I have collected so much makeup excess over the past few months. I usually am a bargain shopper and tend to buy in bulk, so my makup drawer is beginning to buldge. So I decided the best idea was to throw a contest and giveaway the things I have too much of and flourish to those who will appreciate this stuff as much as I would, but in reality, I just have too much to use.

Note: (All products are brand new and never been used)

So I call this excess giveaway "Double Trouble!"

Barbie lip FOTD!

Sephora had an event this past week for all the new lipsticks we got in, and me and all my co-workers wore pins that said what lipstick brand we were wearing. I of course wore Makeup Forever lipsticks and the two colors I recieved from the line were no. 47 hot pink and the Limited Edition Moulin Rouge. I wore the hot pink today with a light pink into purple smoky eye:

I really loved the way the lipstick wore, I didn't even need to reapply after lunch. This lipstick is awesome, and it didn't run on my teeth once.
What do you think of Makeup Forever's new lipsticks?

P.S. Keep an eye out for a contest, I have something brewing... ;)

FOTN/ friends FOTN

I went out with friends last night and they took advantage of the fact that their best friend is a makeup nut, and I applied all their makeup for the night. I was super excited to get creative, because they were open minded to anything I wanted to do. I have a free palette to work with and they're both pretty girls so this was a good time.

This is what their makeup looked like (Alie, me, and Jules)

Alie: Has awesome long lashes, but we decided to apply Makeup Forever lashes no.27 anyway, just for fun. I applied a smoky eye on her with a MAC (very old limited edition palette she had), the colors I used were, gold(almost like Urban Decay half baked) and a dark copper on half her lid, I used Urban Decay Zero eyeshadow in her crease and blended. For her liner I used a soft black pencil and smudged it til it looked almost charcoal. I smoked the liner under her eyes as well. On her lips I used Makeup Forever Aqua Creme lip and cheek color in 7 Fuschia (with gold flakes). She was wearing a hot pink skirt so to the lip worked so well with her outfit and she wore it with confidence!

Jules: Also has long lashes and she's into a more natural look, but with a tad of fun. So I applied on her eyes Claires pink-purple eyeshadow palette. I based with MUFE start dust powder 956 (applying with my finger to pick the powder up in full pigment). I then blened a light pink and dark pink on her eyes, and in her crease I popped with a bright violet. Her blue eyes were popping so much because of the colors. She used a pink frosty lip gloss.
EXTRAS:
I based all girls with Urban Decay Skin primer.
Both girls use Cover girl Clean Foundation.

My look was:

Lips: I based with Raspberry Lip smackers lip balm (it helps my lip from not drying out throughout the night, and my lips feel smooth and not peely), Sephora lip pencil in nude, and from Sephora lip palette red.

Brows: Benefit brow zing light.

Eyes: Two faced Teddy Bear Heaven duo. I based with the light vanilla shade in the duo and on half my lid blended the brown, then in the corner of my eye I poppped my look with a deep brown from my Sephora Play palette.

Face/liner/ lashes: My usual routine.

Also I lost 10 lbs. which you can notice by these pictures. Many knew I was dieting a month back and I passed emails with a few girls and we motivated one another to work out and eat right! It really helped me and was able to sucessfully lose the weight and keep it off. I would like to Thank all who participated in my Diet Season email exchange and feel free to continue emailing me for encouragement! :)

I had a fun night, and was glad to get a night out with the girls before school starts again.

Peeling back with my Mom (Boscia face mask)

My mom and I planned a girls night, sat down by the tube watched the Kardashian's and applied our face masks. The peel should be applied on clean, dry skin. I would apply it over the sink incase of any fall off, haha. It took about 15 minutes to fully dry and then on the first commercial break we ran to the bath to peel our faces, it was kind of fun. Avoid applying near any hair, like eyebrows or scalp. Any little pieces that I couldn't catch a peel I gently washed off with my cleanser with warm water. Don't rub the excess mask remains off with a rag, the mask already exfoliates and this may irritate the skin.

WARNING: Be careful when doing this face peel in the company of family or friends. My mom and I could not stop laughing and I really didn't want to crack my face. But I couldn't help but giggle non-stop, so bad I started to cry. Those are always good times :)

Boscia Luminizing Black Mask
Price: $ 38

"Strips away what you don't want. Leaves behind what you do."

Japenese technology delivers this one-of-a-kind innovatio: a mineral-rich "peel off" mask with powerful detoxifying, purifying, and brightening effects. Using superior Japanese botanicals in concentrated form, skin is refined, clarified, remarkably smooth and instantly luminous.

Benefits:

* Skin's clarity and radiance is dramatically improved
* Skin's texture is smoother and more refined
* Pores are diminished through deep-pore cleansing and exfoliation
* Powerful antioxidants prevent free-radical damage
* Reduces skin inflammation and roughness for younger-looking skin
* 100% preservative-ree to minimize skin irritations and reactions

Powerful Ingredients:

Vitamin C: brightens and evens skintone while reducing fine lines and wrinkles

Natural Clay: absorbs excess oil, dirt and toxins from skin as it exfoliates dead skin cells for purified, refined pores

Pine Bark Extract: a powerful antioxidant, provides soothing benefits and long-lasting conditioning

Witch Hazel: a natural antiseptic kills blemish causing bacteria

Rosemary Leaf Extract: a potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory that firms and minimizes pores
The end result: My face feels so smooth, like baby skin. My pores definitely do look smaller, and my nose is looking great, this is where my pores tend to attract dirt. I had two blemishes on my chin area and they're dry and smooth now. I feel glowing and I'm excited to see how my face looks in the morning.
It's so hard to find a peel that doesn't irritate my skin. I love the Boscia line because it's more natural and preservative free. I feel good using this line. Also this line doesn't test on animals ;)
Are you into doing a mask once and awhile or are you afraid to irritate your skin as well?

How I got more volume in my lashes, naturally.

For those who have never seen my product of the week page to the right of the page, I wanted to share my experience with the Tarte Lash enhancer:

Price: $65

Week 1:
Week 2:

Week 3:

Tarte's Multipleye enhances lash length and volume. I have tried it out for 3 weeks and these were the results, wearing Cover Girl Lash blast mascara in black.

The difference between this lash enhancer and others is this one has no steroids and is produced by a more natural brand. This product does not have the harsh side effects.

IMPORTANT: This lash enhancer is made naturally, so you must appy it on a dry lash line. Best used after cleansing face of all makeup and residue, day or night, on dry eyes. Any extra residue in the bottle can change the formulas natural quality and actually produce a foul smell. If applied correctly the product will remain fresh longer. You can also store this product in the fridge to help it stay fresher longer.

My before statement: "I am really excited to bring my lashes to maximum length."

The end result statement: "I really think my lashes look healthier, I know many other lash enhancers give length but the lashes look dry and brittle. I can honestly say my lashes feel healthier and more volumized."

Product grade: I really loved it and would use it once a year to help my lashes stay long, FOREVER! lol.

Who's your celebrity inspiration?/ a winner perhaps..

Me jocking Gwen, lol:

My celebrity inspiration since childhood has always been Gwen Stefani. I love her punk rock/sassy makeup and wardrobe. She does her own makeup which I admire. She's always trying new things and maintains a signature look at the same time, which is something hard to accomplish. She's known for her black cat liner and red lips and that gorgeous bleach blonde hair. I don't know how she keeps it so healthy, but she does it.
She's such a cool mom too. Look at her syle, I wish I could wear my hair like this. She's so gorgeous, and her son is super cute too.

I love doing this hair look on myself when I have a big party to go to:

Gwen makes brown eyes look cool, lol.

Who's your celebrity inspiration?

Now something exciting:

Also the winner to my Dior quickie contest is D!
She's a new follower to my blog, check her blog out, it's super informative. You'll love it!
D you have 48 hours to email me with your address info, otherwise I have to pick another winner!

Congrats D!

Stay posted for fun contests coming soon, as usual ;)

My everyday hair products/ routine

My hair has been through alot over the years, I've dyed it every color of the rainbow, over heated it, over treated it, and chopped it crazy. Now I've finally realized how precious my hair is and I'm too young to be killing it with hair dye and cheaping out on a haircut. So I went on a search for the perfect hair dresser, the type of hair dresser who listens when I talk. I'm a baby when it comes to cutting my hair and every snip of the scissor makes me cringe, so I needed to find a hair dresser who understood my want for long hair and health. I'm so happy I finally found hair dresser bliss and I stopped dying my hair about two years ago and grew in my natural. My hair has never felt and looked better. My natural highlights have come out and I can apply alittle heat to it once and awhile without it spilting instantly.
My hair curly:
My hair blown out:
Another important investment in my hair bliss was finding the right blow dryer. It was definitely important for me to invest in an expensive blow dryer that was ionic cermanic and applied an even amount of heat on my hair. The dryer I purchased about 2 years ago was a Baby Bliss Pro Cermanic Dryer and it was priced around $100. I've had it for so long and it still heats up perfectly, and leaves my hair silky smooth. I also use a Round Brush by Blue 70 brushes, it really works well with my products to volumize my hair nicely (Priced about $12). Below is my hair dryer:

My shampoo is Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Hydrating Shampoo, all the big salons in the city carry this line and it really keeps my hair soft and healthy. It also smells amazing (Price $34): My conditioner is Tresemme Healthy Volume, it also smells nice and doesn't leave my hair filmy. I hate conditioners that take forever to wash out and leave my hair flat, so this conditioner does a good job (price: about $8) I love using leave in conditioners, it's a bit of an obsession. My favorite one being John Frieda Leave in Conditioner, makes my hair silky, soft and very touchable (price $16) To protect my hair from the heat of my blow dryer I use Tresemme hair tamer and protective spray. It keeps my hair from getting any damage from the high heat on my dryer. (Price $10) Another leave in condtioner I love is CHI Keratin Mist, I know Keratin is really good for your hair so I had to buy this and my hair has been growing quicker since I've been using it. (Price $20)
Dove Flexible Hold Hairspray is one of the last products I use after styling, it makes my hair look smoother after blowing it out, and tames any fly aways. The smell is fresh, and my boyfriend also loves the way it smells, which is a bonus. I couldn't live a day without this product. It's a necessity. (Price around $5) Living Proof thickening cream is my newest product and it's the reason why my hair is so full lately. It has a special technology, a molecule that plumps the hair and gives the ultimate volume. The smell is a bit over bearing for me, but it fades out while I'm styling my hair. Plus the product does such a great job, I can't help but use it. (Price $24) To give my hair a nice flip, I also use Volumax Moouse. It keeps my hair in place all day. Plus it works well with the living proof product. (Price $15) My last step in my hair routine is Tresemme refeshing mist, I carry this with me because it refeshes your hair through out the day. It's basically a hair perfume. I believe a girl should always smell good when walking away from her man at all times. So I like to spritz this in my hair throughout the day. It basically smells like I just came out of the shower. Nothing smells better than a shower fresh smell to me. (Price $ 5)
I've never felt better about my hair, and it's never been this healthy, well perhaps when I was a baby. I'm so glad I've found hair bliss. I just had to share it with you all. I do use almost all these products in my hair every time I style it. I guess I have a product problem, but I'm satisfied with the results.
